After taking this speech course, I feel more
confident in my abilities to communicate with my peers. I think that the most
important aspect of society is communication. Without it we are unable to learn
from one another. This speech class has given me numerous skills I will use for
years to come. It has helped me organize my thoughts and ideas, my ability to
think rationally while under pressure, and my impromptu and quality of casual
speaking. In the future, I know I will need these skills. I won’t to be able to
express my beliefs with everyone else. I want convey with conviction. I want to
help others and be able to explain the problem while providing a solution. This
class has given me the self-esteem I need to succeed. The other thing I will take
from this class is all the information that everyone else has shared. I learned
some very interesting facts. Thank you so much everyone.
It is so good that you are taking so much away from this class. I think that it was helpful to all of us. I especially agree with what you said about it helping your "ability to think rationally while under pressure." By the end of the semester everyone seemed more comfortable in front of the class. A part of that is likely the familiarity we gained with each other. I think that the practice we all were able to have speaking in front of relative strangers was a more important factor though. You thanked everyone else and I would like to thank you in turn. I enjoyed all of your speeches, found them to be interesting and informative, and especially enjoyed listening to your opinions about the foster care system in America. Good luck in the future.
ReplyDeleteI am not going to lie I had to look up what impromptu meant =P You are definitely going to make a big difference in peoples lives that you meet and it was cool how you said that this class was kind of a gateway to do that. I notice that I actually don't develop which words I use or the way I should speak when I'm giving a presentation and I guess I'm not very good with pressure. Since you had a strong opinion in a lot of your speeches especially the persuasive one I think it was very logical and helped you be rational in your speech. And thank you too.
ReplyDeleteNice post, I agree with you in so many ways. From how important communication and knowing how to communicate is to the skills that we have picked up in this class. For me in particular, this class has given me a boost in confidence with speaking to others and getting a point across. Its great that this class has given you so much tips as well. And definitely liked all the information that I got in this class as well. Everyone had great topics!
